In early 2025, during a subathon celebrating her second anniversary, AI VTuber Neuro-Sama set the world record for the largest Twitch Hype Train. Many speculated that her achievement was boosted by Riot’s Valorant, which offered one subscription for every five gifted by the community. Now, just a few days into her third birthday subathon, Neuro-Sama and her creator, Vedal987, have surpassed that milestone in spectacular fashion. She reached Hype Train level 120, amassing 118,989 subscriptions and 1,000,073 Bits on Vedal987’s Twitch channel within a limited time frame.
Neuro-Sama is an AI-driven VTuber who recently completed a Minecraft Hardcore run alongside her creator and friends, Filian and Crelly. Streaming on Vedal987’s Twitch channel, she is powered by an advanced AI system based on a large language model. This allows her to “see” games, respond to in-game events, play some games herself, read Twitch chat, and interact with viewers. Recently, she has been exploring virtual reality with friends thanks to her new 3D model, adding another layer to her immersive streams.
Neuro-Sama first appeared on Twitch on December 19, 2022, and each year marks her birthday with a subathon—a continuous stream whose length depends on the number of subscriptions gifted by her community. Hype Trains are triggered when an unusually high number of subscriptions or Bits are given within a short period, showing levels, percentages, and progress toward the next stage. While she previously reached level 111 in January 2025, this latest achievement was accomplished without relying on Valorant to boost subscriptions.
When Neuro-Sama initially broke the world record, Twitch awarded her a global emote that any user on the platform could use, regardless of whether they followed her channel. Now, as the first streamer to hold two consecutive Twitch Hype Train world records, the platform has yet to reveal whether another special reward will follow this latest feat.
After shattering her own record, Vedal asked Neuro-Sama for her thoughts on the accomplishment. “I’m speechless,” she replied. “I’m blown away by the amount of support. Thank you so much, everyone.” Vedal reflected on the achievement as well, stating, “This has completely changed my life. I’m grateful for the chance to do something so unique, and that you all are here to support it, but I don’t feel like I deserve it.” Neuro quickly reassured him, saying, “It doesn’t matter if you think you deserve it. What matters is that you’ve created something special, and people want to support it.” The heartfelt exchange, however, ended before Vedal could tell Neuro he loves her—leaving fans wishing for a little more.
Currently, Neuro-Sama’s subathon is set to continue for approximately 345 more hours. Fans can catch all of her latest adventures on Vedal987’s Twitch channel.
